Los Liones Herb Walk 3/14

Come join the bear for a fun late morning discovering the abundant biodiversity of the Santa Monica Mountains at Los Liones Canyon on Saturday 3/14 at 10 am. We will meet at the last parking lot on the right on Los Liones Drive in Pacific Palisades. This easy walk will take about 2 hours and a $15 donation is suggested for my time and effort ($10 for regulars, students of related topics, and those low on funds). Parking is free. No pets allowed on this walk and no foraging. This will be a fun, educational, and interactive event. Plants discussed will include Fennel, Plantain, California Mugwort, California Sagebrush, Lemonadeberry, California Blackberry, California Wild Rose, Purple Sage, Black Sage, California Everlasting, Mexican Elderberry, Yellow Dock, Oxalis, Mustard, Ceanothus, Willow, and more. I will also be leading a walk at Topanga Meadows on Sunday 3/15 at 10 am. For that walk, we will meet on Old Topanga Rd about 1/2 mile past Topanga Canyon Drive at the Backbone trailhead. This is a longer and more moderately strenuous and adventurous walk and will be 3 hours with a $20 suggested donation. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, William.
